Dr. Brian Cohen

Dr. Brian Cohen is a practicing anesthesiologist and the Administrative Chief of Miami Anesthesia Services.  Dr. Cohen has over 15 years of clinical anesthesia experience, along with leadership, teaching and administrative expertise.

Dr. Cohen completed a combined Bachelor of Arts and Medical School program at The University of Missouri-Kansas City.  After his intern year at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Cohen completed his anesthesia residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital.  In Houston, Texas, he worked at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, as part of the Greater Houston Anesthesiology group.  From Houston, Dr. Cohen settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he joined a private practice group at Holy Cross Hospital.  In this practice, he led multiple initiatives with a multidisciplinary approach and a focus on patient safety and improved outcomes.   His work at the local level allowed him to help develop and lead educational programs on the national level within the parent company.

Dr. Cohen’s passion for the continuous improvement in perioperative medicine and pain control lead him to his current anesthesia position with Miami Anesthesia Services.  He accepted the unique opportunity to help start this anesthesia group for a physician owned surgical hospital in Miami, Florida.  This venture allowed him to help create a group that embraces every aspect of what quality medicine and anesthesia should be, in a hospital that exemplifies individualized service and safety.  His experience and participation in the creation and design of the hospital itself, provided him with a truly holistic and all-access view into the current medical landscape.

Dr. Mark Eisenfeld

Dr. Mark Eisenfeld is a board certified anesthesiologist, with over 13 years of clinical experience currently practicing as a part of Miami Anesthesia Services (MAS).  After growing up in Fort Myers, Florida, Dr. Eisenfeld spent his collegiate years at Northwestern University graduating cum laude with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He continued with his medical education at the University of Florida and chose to pursue his internship in internal medicine and his ensuing anesthesiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.  Upon completion of his years of training, Dr. Eisenfeld returned to Florida and started his career at Aventura Hospital in 2011. Within a year, he became the director of regional anesthesia services at the hospital.  Dr. Eisenfeld spent his early years honing his skills in fiberoptic airway management, regional anesthesia, and clinical teaching of CRNA and AA students that would rotate through the facility.

In early 2016, Dr. Eisenfeld became a partner of the group he helped to form, Miami Anesthesia Services.  This group was created to be the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at The Miami Medical Center, a physician owned hospital.  An overall perception of a healthcare industry in need of change and a cultural shift in medicine led Dr. Eisenfeld to practice at this new facility.  The idea was simple.  Change the way healthcare is delivered, with a focus beyond just safety and efficiency, but also one focused on service and comfort in all aspects of one's healthcare experience.  With a strong focus on regional anesthesia and multi-modal analgesia, he was able to achieve some of his early goals of advancing comfort at this new facility.
